The foggy mist was reminiscent of velvet billowing gently in a breeze. Even the red eyes piercing it, penetrating like a knife sliding into soft butter... fangs into sweet meat... seemed gentled.
"I see you..." His voice hoarse, raw from the cries, the sobs... the endless monologue...
"You say Black disappeared into this?" Red eyes were shortly averted, words directed away. A faint mumble, too low for his ears turned the crimson gaze back, again pushing against the haze, but not seeing...
"I hear you..." Hoarse voice imploring now, the person it was directed at, not as important as the possibility of escape... to feel warm again... Another faint mumble off the side.
"We will see!" Red eyes even more intend, spidery fingers suddenly curling around his wrist, pulling...
A gasp of fresh air, red eyes penetrating him now.
"Join me!"
"No."
The mist returned. Some bargains were too expensive.
