The challenge was: Characters: Fred and George. Summary: Feeling guilty over the death of a loved one.
Warning: yeah, character death...else there wouldn't be someone to mourn.
***
Red hair swaying slightly in the cold breeze. Dark eyes that will never see again reflecting the grey sky.
Fred looks at George, a tear slowly trickling down his cheek. "I will never forgive myself..."
A seagull rising from the mist as the sun finally breaks through, the battlefield behind them still.
Fred looks at the pale hand lying in his lap, his fingers slowly trailing along the long lifeline. All that time. It had slipped. Like sand through fingers.
George hovers his fingers over Fred's shoulder. "Neither will I..."
The fingers disappear, a faint wisp eclipsed by the sun
